CEO of me

Dear Me,

As I sit here on the back porch of the sanctuary I now call home, sipping on a cup of soul-warming coffee, enveloped in the soothing embrace of reggae music, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Grateful for the person looking back at me in the mirror, a person I've come to be genuinely proud of over this past transformative year.

This year, I made a conscious effort to observe myself without the harsh lens of judgment. Judgment, I realized, was my signal that I had stumbled upon a trigger—an opportunity for self-discovery. Instead of condemning myself, I chose curiosity. I delved into the why behind these triggers and uncovered a tapestry woven with threads of self-abuse, rejection, resentment, guilt, and unworthiness. It was a daunting revelation, but one that I faced head-on.

In the chaos of negative emotions, I learned the art of pause. Life, I discovered, unfolds more effortlessly when we heed the warning signs and allow ourselves redirection. It's a testament to the strength found in vulnerability and self-awareness.

Growing up, I often found myself following the leader, adhering to societal norms that dictated success. Yet, as I reflect on my journey, I celebrate the fact that my version of success defies conventional expectations. I've always dared to tread my own path, unafraid to embrace the unconventional, regardless of the challenges it presented.

Trusting my decisions became a cornerstone of my self-discovery. I accepted accountability for my choices, recognizing that each decision, whether smooth or rugged, contributed to the person I am today. The beauty of my success lies not in external validations but in the life I lead in this very moment.

As I embrace my role as the CEO of Me, I revel in the power of self-trust. The porch beneath me, the weather playing a symphony of perfection, and the coffee warming my soul—all these elements converge to create a tapestry of contentment. There's no guilt, no nagging feeling that I should be elsewhere. This is it; this is success.

I've come to realize that success, for me, is not a distant destination but a continuous journey—one where I trust myself to take the necessary actions in each moment. I've undergone lessons that sharpened the focus of my life, lessons that led me to appreciate the richness of my present.

So, here's to us—the resilient, curious, and self-aware beings that we are. Here's to the journey, the lessons, and the unapologetic embrace of our unique path. As the CEO of Me, I navigate with purpose, courage, and an unwavering belief that, no matter what, I am good. I have 50 years of proof. I am always good and when I put my mind to something I can accomplish it. There is no failure. I can't fail me. EVER. I CAN ALWAYS BET ON ME!!!!!

With love and gratitude,

Me
